2017_January_IncomeReport

This is my 7th income report, wow time flies! Check out my past income reports here. My goal is to make money from home while keeping my family as my number one priority. This means I’m cooking, cleaning, going on field trips, arranging play dates, driving to/from sports, etc. and then working from home in my “spare” time. I hope you can gain some insight into what works (or doesn’t) and how you can make money from home too! I love being a stay at home mom and want you to know it’s possible to add income to your household without sacrificing your family’s way of life. Here are the details of how January turned out…

Why I Publish Income Reports

If it weren’t for other bloggers posting their income reports I would have never started this blog. Conclusion

January was an awesome month for blogging! $556 just from this blog alone is a significant amount for a new site like mine. If you’re ready to start your own website, click here and I’ll take you through step by step how I started MyIncomeJourney. Sharing income reports is a vulnerable experience, but I hope it helps you. I know when I first started stock photography I searched and searched to try and find out how much photographers were actually making. I did the same search with blogging. Both times I only found the extreme examples. I could find bloggers making 6 figures a month and articles mocking the idea of blogging for profit. I’m here to show you what a typical SAHM with no prior experience and limited time can make from home.

  2. I would love to start making some more affiliate income. I’ve started making about 10-15 each month recently but more would be even better.

  3. Thanks for sharing your monthly report! It’s nice to be able to see how people make their income through blogging. I’m really impressed by how you’ve cracked that AdSense income! I took it off my page after making a dollar or so per month.

  4. Your monthly income reports really provide the hope and inspiration that helps me in my journey of transitioning from day job to working from home full-time. And for that, I thank you 😌

  5. I’ve been thinking about getting into stock photography as a side hustle and your post has definitely inspired me to look into it further. Going to check out some of your information on it later this evening hopefully!

  6. Wow, what a great job with your blog! I’ll have to go check your affiliate post. I am an Amazon affiliate, but have yet to make any money from that.

  7. Congrats on the growth of your blog and earning more income from it. I agree, these reports are so inspiring and I learn a lot from them. I should really look into that stock photography idea. I’m going to check out your blog post on that.

  8. This is awesome.
What kind of things do you sell on Etsy?
Also, do you need to have some kind of photography experience for stock photos? I assume if you live in a place with lots to do and see it would be easier than living in a small town. What makes something stock photo worthy?

    1. On Etsy I sell some photography prints as well as instant download items – like currently I have a bunch of Valentine’s I created and then you buy the pdf and print them from home.
You don’t need experience to sell stock photography (I wouldn’t call myself a professional photographer), but you do have to take high-quality photos or they won’t get approved on the stock photo sites. Each photo you submit is reviewed by someone to make sure it meets their site’s guidelines. They need to be in focus, proper white balance, large enough size, etc. About 90% of my photos are taken in my house so don’t think you need to be walking the streets of NY or Paris to get awesome photos. This is my Shutterstock portfolio if you’re curious.
