Income Report

Welcome to my 9th income report! Check out my past income reports here. My personal goal is to make as much money as I can from home while not sacrificing any of my family responsibilities. This means I’m cooking, cleaning, going on field trips, arranging play dates, driving to/from sports, etc. and then working from home in my “spare” time. I started My Income Journey to show you how it’s possible to make money and save money from home! I hope you can gain some insight into what works (or doesn’t) and improve your own income journey! I love being a stay at home mom and think everyone should have the option to make money from home!

Blog Report

Conclusion

Overall I’m happy with how March turned out. My current (realistic) goal is to stay above $1,000/month and I was able to do that. My longer-term goal is to get just my blog earnings to be over $1,000/month and my total work from home income closer to $2,000. I know I can do it, there’s just a lot of steps I need to take to get there. I only work about 2-4 hours per day or around 15 hours per week. This is just an estimate, but it puts me around $22/hr. Not too shabby for working at home in my spare time! I mentioned in my income report last month that I signed up for Elite Blogging Academy. It’s already paying off!! My pageviews jumped from 5,000 to 8,000 and I made some much-needed changes to my blog design. Plus, I’m learning about SEO and other elements I’ve been neglecting. I’m not even halfway done with the course and I already feel like I’ve learned a ton!

  2. Congratulations! I appreciate your sharing the income as it gives others a chance to see what is possible or see how they are doing. Working from home is a gift and much more possible than people think.

  3. Thank you for sharing your income report. One day I hope to be making as much as you are currently + more. Your other posts about money making tips are great and I will certainly bookmark them 🙂 x

  4. This is amazing! You are inspiring me. I’m just getting going and we have so many of the same passions. Hope clarity comes along the journey because I’m floundering right now. 🙂

  5. Thanks so much for this post. It’s so much more realistic and doable than many others out there. Do you think that a teenager could do the stock photography if the account was in their parents name?

    1. Thanks, Heidi! I know I’m not making 6 figures a month yet, but I hope it’s helpful to see an easily attainable income report. 🙂

Most the stock agencies like Shutterstock and istock require you to be 18 years old, but I do believe there is a form a parent/guardian can fill out to sign them up as a contributor. Contact the stock agencies and they’ll let you know how to go about signing your teenager up. You can also sell on Etsy as a minor and that’s another great revenue stream for photographers.
