It’s time for my favorite post of the month, income report!! This is my 3rd income report and my 5th month blogging. Let’s see how the month went!

Why I Publish Income Reports

If it weren’t for other bloggers posting their income reports I would have never started this blog. I am so grateful for their willingness to be open, honest, transparent, and inspire me to get started blogging. I hope I can do the same for you! If you want to start a blog, read my 4 step tutorial here.

This website is about making money from home. If I am going to write articles about how to make money from home, then I’d better be able to do it myself. I want you to see what works for me (or doesn’t work) and give you ideas of what can work for you too! These income reports give you detailed information about how much a typical SAHM with limited time can earn.

In keeping with my desire to be totally open and honest I’m going to tell you that I’m only working about 2 – 4 hours per day about 5 days a week. My piano teaching is obviously very scheduled and easy to track, if all my students come each week then I work 4 hours/week teaching. I try to spend an hour or two on this site each day and then there’s a tiny bit of time on Etsy, almost none on photography, and a little on surveys or swagbucks (15 min. a day about). I really only spent about an hour with photography this month! I’m telling you this so you can get an idea of the time commitment necessary to make money in each of these endeavors. I also invest about an hour couponing every 9 days or so. I don’t know why September flew by so quickly! I will hopefully be able to spend more time in the next few months growing my various jobs and seeing my income increase. I spent a lot of time volunteering at my kids’ school this month and started consistently running again. September is just a beautiful time and perfect running weather! One of my October goals is going to be to actually schedule in my work time rather than let dishes or laundry or running a few extra miles interfere.

Income Goals

I am so happy about how September turned out! I didn’t think I’d pass the $1,000 mark for a while longer, but I did it in month 5! Let’s hope the path I’m on will continue and I’ll be able to keep up a 4-figure monthly income.

Blogging Stats

Facebook: 560 Followers

Pinterest: 954 Followers – Sept. was awesome for Pinterest. I added almost 500 followers, that’s almost double from August. A lot of it is due to ViralTag.

Twitter:   158 Followers

Website Pageviews: 3,877 (that’s way better than last month at 1,990)

Website Users: 2,474 (more than doubled from last month’s 1,117)

I realize my numbers are still very low and I’m definitely a new, small blog at this point. But the trend is up and I still have yet to tell my friends and family about this website. My main focus is still on getting good quality content. I have a massive post ideas list that I’ve barely touched on. My hope is that as I continue to publish good articles the pageviews, income, and stats will steadily rise.

I’m very happy with how September turned out. Thank you to everyone that is supporting me and this journey. I hope you can learn from my experience and see that you can make money from home, set your own schedule, improve your financial situation, and make money doing something you enjoy!
