how_i_doubled_my_pinterest_followers

One of the top things that made me hesitant about starting a blog was dealing with social media. I’m not exactly “social” or really on social media and honestly, I don’t really want to be on there very much. But social media is a major key to having a successful blog. You can write amazing posts but if nobody is reading them then what’s the point? You have to get yourself you there and there’s no better way than Pinterest! Even before I began My Income Journey, I loved Pinterest. If I needed birthday party ideas, Pinterest! Decorating tips? Pinterest! How to make money from home ideas? Pinterest! Now that I have a blog I love Pinterest even more! About 70% of my traffic is from Pinterest. It’s amazing!! If you have a blog, website, business, or any online presence you are missing out if you aren’t taking advantage of the awesomeness of Pinterest!

How to Save Time on Pinterest

I’m not going to go into all the details for Pinning in this post, but here’s a quick start. Get your Pinterest account up and running, create eye-catching pins, join group boards, create your own unique boards, and pin other people’s stuff in addition to your own. After that’s setup you’ll start seeing your website traffic increase as well as your Pinterest followers increase. This takes a decent time investment initially, but once you’ve done them and you’re up and running then you don’t need to be spending hours on Pinterest to continue to see growth. How do you get all the Pinterest benefits without speding hours online? Pinterest schedulers!! Schedulers allow you to setup all the pinning you want to do for the week (or month or day) all at once. So instead of manually pinning 25 pins and spending an hour a day on Pinterest, you can schedule a pin for every day of the week at specific times, varying times, multiple boards, etc. I spend about a half hour on Pinterest once a week to set up my pins for the coming week or two. That’s it! Then I’m done for the week and can spend my time writing posts or doing other things. Not only has using a scheduler saved me time, my Pinterest followers doubled in the first two weeks of scheduling!

What Scheduler to Use

There are many schedulers out there to choose from. I am using Viraltag, here’s why.

#1 – Viraltag is not only a Pinterest scheduler, it can be used with other social media accounts too. I can schedule tweets, Facebook posts, LinkedIn, and Instagram. So far I’m just using it for Pinterest and Twitter, but I love that it has the ability to integrate all my social media accounts.

#2 – Viraltag has an easy to use Chrome (or other browsers) extension. I can schedule my pins directly from my Pinterest account, website, or upload from my computer.

#3 – Viraltag integrates easily with Canva. I personally use photoshop, but Canva is a great free resource if you don’t have a photo editing program.

#4 – Viraltag offers a free 14-day trial (no credit card needed) and a discounted price for bloggers. This is the main reason I use Viraltag and want to recommend it. Especially if you’re just starting out blogging and don’t want to spend a lot of money, Viraltag is only $9/month for bloggers. It’s a bit sneaky to find the deal on their website, so let me show you where to look. Start by clicking here, and then go to pricing.

You’ll see their standard pricing, but keep scrolling down!

It’s all the way at the bottom.

Now you should have the $9/month option if you’re a blogger.

Even if you aren’t a blogger, Viraltag is easy to use and a great deal for unlimited pins, posts, and feeds. Plus they have analytics, Canva integration, and multiple social platforms. They offer a 14-day free trial (no credit card needed) and if you use my link you get a $15 credit when you sign up for a monthly plan. Sign up here.

#5 – Viraltag is easy to use! Here’s a quick video with an example of how to schedule a post.

If you’re interested in trying out other schedulers to see what you like best, I also recommend Tailwind, Hootsuite, or Viralwoot. I am personally very happy with Viraltag and highly recommend you find a Pinterest scheduler to help grow your business, blog, or online following!
